Macbeth - New York Shakespeare Festival
This typographic poster of a diamond shattering explores the effects that the blind pursuit of power can cause, as seen in the iconic tragedy 'Macbeth'.
Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
As a personal project, I created this typographic poster for the band Radiohead’s album 'A Moon Shaped Pool', which is a provocative musical exploration of a marriage being pulled apart. Disjointed letters, shapes, and a central motif of wedding rings (with the hope of coming together or separating?) were my inspiration for this piece.
Twenty One Pilots - Death Inspires Me Like a Dog Inspires a Rabbit
For their album release, Twenty One Pilots held a fan poster contest. My submitted piece was inspired by their lyrics 'Death inspires me like a dog inspires a rabbit'. The totem pole of characters shows a rabbit, followed by a dog, and then the ever-present death (and perhaps the artist in one?) at the top. Song titles surround and morph around the central characters.
Björk - ‘Vulnicura’ Concert Series
A set of three posters inspired by Björk’s visceral album 'Vulnicura'.
Digital Set
The first two designs were digitally created to capture the forward-thinking and sometimes bleak musical landscape that the artist explores in her lyrical content.
Hand-made
The last poster was handmade with physical objects. Colored wool was wrapped around wooden letter blocks spelling out 'BJORK'. Black wool was then used to create abstract creatures surrounding the name. I felt this playful approach was an interesting twist and contrast to the album's themes.
